This Privacy Policy applies only to the Chrome extension Dark Mode On/Off by Website (the “Extension”), published by Salesforza (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

1. What the Extension Does

Dark Mode On/Off by Website lets users:

  • Turn dark mode On/Off for all websites
  • Turn dark mode On/Off for a specific website
  • Keep already-dark websites from being double-inverted

2. Data We Process

A. Settings Data (stored by the extension)

We store extension settings such as:

  • Global dark mode state (On/Off)
  • Per-site dark/off overrides
  • Icon and UI preferences

Storage is done using Chrome extension storage APIs (chrome.storage.sync / local extension storage where applicable).

B. Tab and Website Context (processed locally)

To provide per-site controls, the Extension reads:

  • The active tab URL/hostname
  • Basic page style signals (for example color/theme indicators) needed to apply dark mode correctly

This processing happens locally in your browser.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not intentionally collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Passwords
  • Payment data
  • Health data
  • Personal messages/content for profiling
  • Precise geolocation

4. Data Sharing and Selling

  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We do not transfer user data to third parties for advertising.
  • We do not use user data for creditworthiness or lending decisions.

If you use optional social actions (for example posting an idea on X), you are redirected to that platform by your choice, and that platform’s privacy policy applies.

5. Remote Code

The Extension does not use remote executable code. Extension logic is packaged in the published extension bundle.

6. How We Use Data

We process data only to:

  • Deliver dark mode functionality
  • Save your preferences
  • Apply your per-site choices
  • Keep the Extension stable and secure

7. Retention

Settings remain stored until you:

  • Change/reset them, or
  • Remove the Extension

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Extension data.
No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

9. Your Choices

You can:

  • Change settings anytime in the Extension UI
  • Disable or uninstall the Extension at any time
  • Clear browser/extension data via Chrome settings

10. Children’s Privacy

The Extension is not directed to children under 13.
If we become aware of inappropriate collection, we will take steps to delete relevant data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date.
